Why Did I Receive Extra Characters in My Outbound Message?

Be careful when copying from word processing programs, as many of the software-specific, native characters do not translate to SMS. The most frequent issues with characters include unsupported apostrophes, dashes, spaces and quotation marks.

To avoid sending messages with unsupported characters:

  • Never copy/paste from word processing software such as Microsoft Office
  • Always review each message via the "Send Test Message" feature before sending or scheduling a message broadcast
